Day 1: Skopje
Arrival in Skopje, meeting with the guide. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 2: SKOPJE
Breakfast. In the morning visit the archeologica site of Scupi and the Roman aqueduct. In the late morning visit the new part of the capital: Cathedral, Feudal Tower, Monument of Mother Teresa; house of Mother Teresa, Old Railway Station, Makedonia Square, Stone Bridge. Lunch. In the afternoon visit the old town: Medioeval Fortress, Church of St. Spas, Old Bazaar, Old Mosques. Free time. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: SKOPJE – STIP – STRUMICA (160 km)
Breakfast. Departure for Stip. Visit the archeological site of Bargala and Astibo. Lunch. Travel to Strumica. Visit the old roman bath in Bansko and Carevi kuli (Tsar’s Towers) in Strumica. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 4: STRUMICA - STOBI - PRILEP – BITOLA (200 km)
Breakfast. Departure for Stobi. Visit the archeological site (as a city, Stobi is first mentioned in documents from the 2nd century B.C.). Travel to Prilep. Visit of the old part of the town, called Varosh. Lunch. In the afternoon arrival in Bitola. Check in hotel. Visit the centre: main street Sirok Sokak, Catholic Church, Clock Tower, Cathedral.
Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 5: BITOLA – St. NAUM – OHRID (100 km)
Breakfast. Visit Heraclea Lincestis (5 km from Bitola), the oldest archeological site of the roman times in Macedonia. In the late morning departure for the Lake Ohrid, to visit the Monastery of St Naum (in the south of the lake). Lunch. In the afternoon arrival in Ohrid (called the Balkan Jerusalem). Check in hotel. Free time. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 6: OHRID – SKOPJE (180 km)
Breakfast. Visit the old town: Fortress of King Samuil, Church of St. Sofia, Church of Kaneo, Roman Theatre. Lunch. Departure for Skopje. Visit the Monastery of St. Pantelejmon. Transfer to hotel. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 7: SKOPJE – STARO NAGORICANE – KRATOVO – SKOPJE (180 km)
Breakfast. Departure for Staro Nagoricane, to visit the the old Church of St. George. Before lunch arrival in Kratovo, the city of dolls and bridges, with roots in the Roman period, which at that time was a significant trade center during the Byzanitne period. In the afternoon return to Skopje. Free time. Dinner and overnight stay.
Day 8: DEPARTURE FROM SKOPJE
